The Anchoring Vignette Method and its use for increasing the comparability of self-assessments of ICT knowledge and skills

This dissertation deals with the use of the Anchoring Vignette Method in educational research carried out to establish the level of information and communication technology (ICT) knowledge and skills, with the focus on Czech upper-secondary school students. The theoretical part describes curricular documents that define the ICT knowledge and skills. In the Czech Republic that means mainly the Framework Educational Programmes. Attention is also paid to the international document DigComp. The Anchoring Vignette Method with the focus on nonparametric approach of this method is described in detail too. The author also provides an overview of available Czech and foreign bibliography on ICT knowledge and skills research - including the International Computer and Information Literacy (ICILS, 2013 and 2018) - and on the use of the Anchoring Vignette Method in educational research. The empirical part includes the description of the steps taken in formulating anchoring vignettes, this being an integral part of the Anchoring Vignette Method, in accordance with the curricular documents of the Czech Republic, and the steps taken while formulating anchoring vignettes on the basis of the international document DigComp. Analysis of the weaknesses of IT process

The thesis focuses on research of IT process weakness. In theoretical part are described basic terms and also frameworks or best practise of process maturity rating. Selected practice ITIL and COBIT are then used for rating in practical part. For this purpose is choosen one of process which is outsourced by external contractor. Rating is made using free accessible tools, which are offered by selected practice and which offer rating process. Result is established according to consultation with people involved in project and their rating using mentioned tools.
The Possibilities of the Information System Quality Assessment

The thesis deals with the possibilities of the quality information system assessment. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the information systems, explains the term quality in information systems and describes the methods of the IT processes maturity assessment. The implementation of selected methods of the IT process maturity assessment is the content of the practical part of the thesis. A questionnaire survey based on the selected methods was conducted in the SAINT-GOBAIN ADFORS CZ s.r.o. company. The survey was analyzed, the level of the Problem Management process maturity was defined and possible improvements of this process were suggested.
Evaluation of IT processes maturity

The thesis deals with the evaluation of IT processes maturity. In the theoretical part, management of information technologies and methods of assessment in the organization are described. Four methods are selected and used for the maturity assessment of the Release Management process in Česká pojišťovna a.s. In the practical section, a questionnaire is evaluated and the Release Management process maturity level is set. The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate maturity of Release Management process and suggest possible improvements. The objective was achieved through the completed questionnaires of Česká pojišťovna a.s. employees and subsequent consultations with the process owner. The thesis consists of six parts. The first chapter deals with the management of information technology in an organization. The second chapter is devoted to the evaluation of process maturity and description of the selected methods of maturity evaluation. The third chapter maps processes according to ITIL, Cobit 4.1 Cobit 5 and provide their introduction. The fourth chapter introduce the organization of Česká pojišťovna a.s.. The fifth chapter describes the specific process Migrating applications in the Česká pojišťovna a.s.. The sixth chapter focuses on the actual comparison of individual methods of evaluating and interpretation of the results.
Nature of diet and physical activity in lifestyle of students of Faculty of Health and Social Studies of University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (ZSF JCU)

This Bachelor thesis focuses on basic information about nutrition and the importance of movement for a healthy lifestyle. The results of research on the quality diet and physical activities of the students of ZSF JCU are presented in the practical part. The research implies that ZSF JCU students asses their lifestyle positively in terms of nourishment. There has been a difference discovered between eating habits of men and women. The research also gives evidence that male and female ZSF JCU students differ in physical activities. Men do physical activities more often than women.
